Circuit Court Convened Here Last Monday
The April term of the Circuit Court for Caroline County opened with Judges Keating and Wickes. A grand jury, led by foreman A. G. Saulsbury, examined 205 witnesses, returned 28 true bills and 27 presentments. Committee reports found county facilities in need of painting and bedding updates. No jury trials occurred this week. several cases were decided including larceny pleas and blackmail, with several sentences to the House of Correction. The Goldsboro Bank and Beck will cases are set for next week, likely extending court into several days.

Alderson Will Case Admitted Probate In Baltimore
The will of William H. Alderson formerly of Preston was admitted to probate in Baltimore Orphans Court on March thirtieth and the estate closed the next day. The estate had been tied up in litigation for over a year after daughters filed caveat proceedings on December 4, 1930. Trial occurred December 4, 1931, and the jury upheld the will despite a motion for a new trial. An appeal followed but was dismissed. Mrs. Alderson served as executrix and was represented by William Pepper Constable and associates John D. Alexander and Charles Carroll Jr.
