Bon Air Hotel Destroyed by Fire in Augusta
The Bon Air Hotel a major winter resort in Augusta Georgia was totally destroyed by fire today. About 250 guests had to flee in scant attire and lost all personal effects. The cause of the blaze is not yet known. The Bon Air stood as one of the Souths most famous hotels.

McGehee Arkansas February 4 authorities found three white men killed by rifle or pistol fire in a drifting boat on the White River near its junction with the Arkansas River. The victims were identified as Roy Lewis Will Elm and Charles Meyers residents of the White River bottoms.

Hyde vows no delay to special road session
Governor Hyde said there is no reason to delay the next special road session after Attorney General Barrett’s opinion on the 60 million dollar road bond amendment.
