Equalization Board in Session Faces Broad County Objections

County assessors protested steep increases with Clay county citing a 170 percent rise in land values and 200 percent in other personal property. Total county increases exceed 12 million, with Clay paying about 11 thousand more to the State. Pemiscot Caldwell and others reported multi million dollar boosts and voiced strong objections. The board indicated no expected changes unless clear errors are shown and many counties remain to be heard.

Death of Mrs Emma Bassman Dulle in St Louis

Mrs Emma Bassman Dulle died in St Louis on Monday after a long illness. Born March 7 1890 on a farm near Brazito Missouri she lived in Jefferson City until marrying John Dulle two years ago and moving to St Louis. She was survived by her husband her parents Mr and Mrs J A Bassman two brothers Wm Bassman near Jefferson City and George Bassman of Crocker and three sisters Lizzie Freshley of Brazite Mrs Leo Hemmel of Jefferson City and Dora Bassman of this city. Funeral services will be held at her father’s residence at 1 30 p m and Lutheran church at 2 p m Friday April 15.
