The State Health Department outlines that prevention relies on early isolation by the infected individual and voluntary quarantine of exposed persons. It warns vaccines, masks, sprays, and other products offer little to no protection, and urges measures be used only to slow outbreaks in small communities.
A Dam Ing lodge No. 12 Mason delegation traveled to Hurley on Tuesday to observe the searee work performed by the Silver City team. Attendees included representatives from Dennis Silver City Tyrone Santa Rita Minters and the Masonic club at Fort Bayard. The evening concluded with a banquet to strengthen fraternal ties, with Deming members Edw Pennington Gee D Robinson and others present.
Senator H. L. Kerr from Cambray ranch plans a county fair showing of ten Brahma and Brahma-Herefords, arguing Brahma blood increases vitality weight and weather resilience. The library has moved locations, expanded to about 4000 volumes, and relies on modest funding with volunteers and paid staff. membership totals and finances are described, along with a planned budget of 528 for the coming year.

The film shows Roosevelt warning Germany’s ambassador and preparing to send Admiral Dewey if warships stay. The Majestic screens Saturday and Sunday September 27 and 28 with matinee at 1 pm. The armory interior work for exhibits is finished and community leaders and exhibitors are invited to inspect the space. Ley will plan display arrangements for maximum impact. The local carpenter has halved its bill as date to the success of the fair approaches.

Goldwyn presents The Eternal Magdalene a powerful modern drama by Robert H McLaughlin showing compassionate human drama in a temperate American city. Screen version follows exceeding stage success and arrives Sunday at the Princess theatre for one day.
A Luna County Community Service association meeting at Fred Sherman’s office selected chairmen for each department. J G Cooper heads finance, S D Swope Secramant, J Schurtz music, E Martin dramatics, B W Wheatley athletics, F Sage railroad club, D H Tales playground, Mrs C H Cooper girls’ work, Rev N J Reasoner boys’ work, John C Watson water and lights. Committees will be formed, three members per department minimum, with reports at next Wednesday’s luncheon. A fundraising dance aims to explain the organization’s aims. if the planned event cannot be held, an alternative location will be sought for Friday evening.

Charles Butler rosin master of the Southern Fests returned from Chicago where he attended the convention of the maintenance of ways officials of every road in the country. An exhibit of maintenance equipment was shown and speeches were given by prominent railroad men on drainage of roads care of labor and improving efficiency of workers.

Dr Swope led a luncheon at the armory proposing an in depth study of using a Diesel powered central plant to pump irrigation water. Estimates show a 500 horsepower unit could irrigate about 4800 acres at roughly 6.25 per acre, with 600 horsepower delivering large volumes at low cost. The committee plans to investigate all costs and configurations, including a farmer funded stock approach and a potential demonstration farm to gather accurate data.
