Good rain fell Wednesday night across the county easing drought concerns. W H McBean and J C O Connor rode a Southern Pacific motor car to El Paso. near Myndua the car derailed with injuries. They were treated at local hospital and McBean later sent to San Francisco SP hospital.

Cattleman Cantrell Shot in Arm in Local Accident
Louis Cantrell of near Nutt was accidentally shot Sunday while loading a 465 Colt pistol for a trip to town. The gun slipped from a holster and its bullet struck his left arm between the wrist and shoulder, causing heavy bleeding. Dr. J G Moir treated the wound at the Ladies' hospital. an artery was severed but no bones were broken. Cantrell returned home Monday.
