A Disabled American Veterans World War camp was organized at Deming's Chamber of Commerce last Monday night with 14 charter members. National Commander James A. McFarland of Dalton, Ga attended to aid formation en route from San Francisco. Temporary officers were named and a call issued for additional members, with a meeting set for October 29 at 7 PM to finalize charter dues of 10 and per capita fees.

Dial Sells Highway Filling Station to Cheater Family
The Highway Filling Station at Spruce and Silver, run by Mrs. Dial under Haske Dial, was sold last week to George Cheater and his son. The station on K. of P. lodge land enjoyed good patronage and will be operated by the new owners.

Mrs Miller Dies Suddenly In Front Of Park Hotel
Mrs L Miller aged 76 years 10 months 4 days died suddenly of heart disease in front of the Park Hotel Tuesday at 6 30 pm while en route from Poplar Montana to San Carlos Arizona. She had been in ill health years and was placed in a hotel chair where she expired. Her body was taken to Mahoneys and shipped to Bellefontaine Ohio birth place for burial. Mr Kitch a longtime Indian Department employee and his wife were with her and accompanied the party to the burial site.
