The State Corporation Committee heard Deming business leaders Saturday in the Chamber of Commerce room to discuss railroad rates. They discussed sugar rates from the Pacific coast and a daily Hermanas to El Paso service, plus fuel oil classifications and farmers’ concerns about low grade oils. Commissioners Williams Grove and rate clerk Segerson attended and then left for Santa Fe.
