Valley farmers hold one day institute east of Deming
A one day Farmers Institute at Little Vineyards Co 8 miles east of Deming drew attentive farmers to lectures by H M Bainer on silos wheat and stock care and Miss Mannette Meyers on domestic science for children. Bainer praised underground silos and predicted 12 to 15 tons of silage per acre with 180 ton capacity silos at the farm. He noted New Mexico leads in silos and urged more livestock. Meyers praised school gardens and commended Grace Goebel for Luna County.
