Deming heads into a final deadline offering The Daily El Paso Herald six months and Deming Headlight weekly for a year plus a 31 piece blue underglaze china set for a seven dollar price. The offer ends tomorrow at 8 p.m. with subscriptions confirmed at the Headlight office.
The Mimbres Valley Farmers Association invites all farmers to a 10 30 a m gathering next Saturday for vast business. Oil buying for the next year will be discussed along with a possible farmers marketing association and warehouse. Freight rates to outside markets, a cooperative creamery, and silo construction are also on the agenda.
Chairman Williams of the State Corporation Commission travels to Roswell for hearings before the Interstate Commerce Commission on the 17th and 18th, and to Albuquerque on the 20th and 21st. Justice J. C. Clements to preside. J A Mahoney elected to attend Albuquerque hearing for the Chamber of Commerce. several businessmen and a Mimbres Valley Farmers Association representative expected to attend.
A full day of missionary society events is planned for Tuesday November 18 at the Presbyterian Church. Activities include a 30 to 11 youth service led by Mrs Matthews a 11 to 12 2 Program by the Woman's Missionary Society led by Mrs Robinson a 12 to 1 30 lunch social hour a 1 30 to 2 00 Baptist Missionary Society led by Mrs Potts and a 2 30 to 3 90 Home and Foreign Work program of the Missionary Council led by Mrs W A McCreary. Foreign department representatives include five ladies. An offering is planned with song and remarks.

President Ralph C. Ely reports plans by Wilbur D Cook to lay out the Albuquerque fair grounds with trees vines pergola effects to shade andbeautify. Estimated cost 75000 with goals to inspire towns and counties toward parks and beautified spaces for future generations.
The Mimbres Valley Farmers Association schedules a Saturday meeting at the Deming courthouse to discuss marketing through the association, a partial report on the season, outlook for next year, the Albuquerque freight rate case, and other matters of interest to stockholders and valley farmers. Everyone is invited by the Board of Directors.
Byron's Troubadours will appear at the Opera House tomorrow night under the Deming High School Athletic Association. The group features splendid artists and is advertised as world beaters in entertainment with reserved seats priced at 75 cents.
Ten years into irrigation progress in the Mimbres Valley foreshadows widespread private and government land ownership increases. Mr. Ely urges a statewide fair to spur development, improve agriculture, rail traffic, schools, and living standards, with a state fair commission already in motion.
