Deming Soldier Returns From France After War Service
Davil Fosiman, a member of the 20th Engineers, spent a year and a half in a lumber camp in southern France. His unit built three miles of railroad and produced timber, railroad ties, and trench supplies for the war effort. After furloughing through the south of France and visiting several historic towns, Fosiman recalls varied experiences, including a memorable patrol after the Villa raid and an American pension of turkey and cream ice during a leave in France.

Decoration Day at the Armory in Lama County

A carnival raised 326.05 funds for the event, to be hosted at the armory with Mayor Hamilton and a welcome program including speeches, tableaux, refreshments, and dancing.
