Postal Savings Bonds Offer Converts of Deposits to Government Bonds

The government plans to issue Postal Savings Bonds for deposits converted into United States registered or coupon bonds in $20 $100 and $500 denominations. Interest at 2 4 percent per year from July 1 1913 payable semiannually, redeemable after one year, and principal and interest due 20 years from issue in gold coin. Bonds exempt from all federal and local taxes. Applications to convert deposits must be received by June 2 1913.
