The Deming Chamber of Commerce Board met March 26 1912 with directors Kelly Corbett Pollard Nordhaus McTeer and Holt present The secretary reported financials and bills approved including a $6 25 payment to Deming Electrical Supply Co Dues and advertising funds stood at 338 62 and 184 82 respectively with 656 44 total funds on hand Voted to endorse Borah Jones residency requirement and inform Congress members A committee was formed to study acreage and pumping power near Deming and other actions including tabled postage and apple package standardization The secretary’s report covered room visitors mail literature and inquiries totaling 146 159 986 and 85 personal letters The bills approved totaled 114 80 including Sunset magazine and Deming Graphic printing along with utilities and dues The meeting adjourned per secretary Y W S TULL
