Deming power plant deal boosts local irrigation plans

Federal Light and Traction Company purchases Deming Ice and Electric assets and will add 500 kW turbines, expanding transmission into the Mimbres valley. About half a million dollars will be spent to upgrade the plant and lines, offering farmers electricity at around 3 cents per kWh. Bureau of Immigration Offers Free Garden Seeds in Albuquerque

Christian Church Entertainment Draws Large Revival Crowd

A Friday evening event at the Christian church entertained 200 to 300 attendees and 66 new church members. Members of the official board were showcased with profiles, Mrs. Moore guiding the display, and Jd. H. Shepard leading the board. Guests enjoyed sewing buttons, women driving nails, recitations by Misses Watkins and Nunn, and refreshments of sandwiches cake and chocolate.

Marriage Anniversary Celebration For D L Pond

Our good friend D L Pond and his wife will celebrate their 47th marriage anniversary on March 25. They are 74 and have shared joys and burdens for nearly five decades.
