The Deming Hardware company led by F. Parrish lost tools and small valuables valued near $100 after a Friday night break in. The thief also took $4.60 from the cash register. a large stock of ranges, axes, plumbers supplies and graniteware remained untouched. No arrests have been reported.
William Bailey was arrested by Officer J C Tabor on petty larceny for stealing a coat from Sam Watkins. Judge Rogers arraigned Bailey Wednesday, continuing the case to Thursday and ordering him to leave town by Wednesday or face jail. Bailey described as a hobo and hop head.
Indications point to a coming fight over the Silver City post office with reports of a move to oust Jo Sheridan. Sheridan was appointed last September by President Taft.
A Deming gathering at Julius Rosch’s home on Gold avenue brought together 28 residents with 30 years in Deming for a stag party. Guests signed an autograph album to be presented to Mrs. Rosch, and a rules committee was formed to formalize an enduring old timers society.

Heath and Taylor opened their millinery and haberdashery shop last Saturday. The opening proved very successful with a large number of visitors arriving. Each guest received a souvenir potted plant.
The Grace Episcopal Church choir in Chicago, led by Roney and the manager of Roney's Boys' Concert Company, gained fame in America and Europe during its ten years of leadership. The group planned a performance at the Crystal Theater on Wednesday night.
