Thirteen Liodes Girls assembled at Mrs Robinson’s for a camping trip to Roswell New Mexico. They traveled in two touring cars and crossed the Organ Mountains into the Turallrosa basin near White Sands. After Alamogordo they camped in the Sacramento range at Mescalero agency and spent Sunday attending church with an Apache interpreter and a visiting Apache quartet, documenting an amusing photo request and a humorous price quote.

The S S Training School in Albuquerque, attended by Rev Redman last week, graduated sixty seven, with many students traveling 250 to 300 miles. Mrs Burr has moved into Russell apartments on Copper Street.

El Paso sees no rain, ranges dry, heat accelerating crops with grapes setting well. strawberries near finish, oats improving but corn and around in higher elevations.
A second transcontinental route from Denver to Los Angeles via Albuquerque El Paso Phoenix and Yuma will be built by Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph with AT&T. Construction starts immediately with the first unit between Phoenix and Yuma and is expected in service by January 1 1924. The route will pass Denver Colorado Springs Pueblo Trinidad Las Vegas Albuquerque Santa Fe Socorro Las Cruces El Paso Deming Lordsburg Tucson Phoenix and Yuma to Los Angeles. The project costs about 2 000 000 and aims to ease overloads and support nation wide demand for telephone service.
About thirty young men under 21 in Deming plan an initiatory De Molay degree ceremony at the Masonic Hall on Saturday June 5 from about three to eleven o'clock. Silver City Chapter members will attend to conduct the rites, with a dinner that evening. The De Molay group operates under the Bla sons sponsorship and serves ages 16 to 21, linking to a nationwide organization with over 200,000 members. An advisory council led by C F Sage includes local civic leaders such as N J Strumquint and W A Poe.
The Presbyterian Church announces Sunday School at 9 45 morning worship at 11. Christian Endeavor at 7 p m. Prayer meeting Wednesday evening at 6 o'clock. A large crowd attended the commencement exercises at the Broadway Theatre on May 31. Rev. J.T. Redman gave the invocation and opening. University of New Mexico President Dr. David Spence Hill delivered the evening address. The girls' glee club and boys' quartet performed, and Prof. B. D. Martin presented diplomas to graduates including Marculta Young Esther Witta Rose Walsh Ethel Tullock Alice Stevens Mable Steed Hugh P. Scharta Cartes D. Ruebush Melvin Mills Catherine Martin Margaret Holt Faith Aahlay Katherine Foster Bertha Clark Helen Bounds.
