Prehistoric White Man Found Mummified in New Mexico Cave
A 1903 report from the Florosa Mountains describes a white male mummy found beneath three cement floors in a cave dwelling about 100 feet above the canyon. The intact body shows mummification, with a 5 ft 7 in frame, reddish brown hair, and grave goods including a stone pipe, buckskin armlets, shells, pottery, and copper tools. The site yields bones, tools, and evidence of a hunter gatherer culture possibly prior to the Aztecs, suggesting indigenous contact and a long-vanished stone-age lifestyle.
