Memorial Services At Deming Armory

Hunter Relief Bill Cleared Senate for Reuben Hunter
The Headlight reports Senator Jones says the U S Senate favors a relief bill for Reuben R. Hunter and has sent it to the House for concurrent action. Luna Prisoners Sent To Bisbee By Sheriff Request
Sheriff Smyer received a telegram from Tucson requesting the transfer of Charles Wagner and Jacob Allarid alias James Wade from Luna county jail to Bisbee to testify before the grand jury about box car robberies on Southern Pacific lines out of El Paso. Wagner and Allarid, with a woman companion, were arrested in Albuquerque and brought to Deming. A confession tied Warner to at least 12 robberies since April 3, naming a Benson Chinese merchant Ho Wo who bought stolen goods later sold to Mexican laborers. Over a thousand dollars worth of merchandise had been recovered. the men may face further federal charges under the Mann Act threats.
