Glorious Fourth Quiet in Deming Overall

Fourth of July in Deming featured few celebrations beyond scattered firecrackers by youths. Citizens attended events on the Black Range Scenic highway and at Park's ranch with gatherings in Hillsboro and Silver City. The Mountain View rally, an Odd Fellows picnic at Warm Springs, and a schoolhouse dinner preceded Rev. Bryant’s Fourth of July address on the Declaration of Independence.
