Porter Earl Kimble Arrested for Carrying a Gun
Earl Kimble a porter at the Silver King saloon was arrested by Sheriff D B Stephena on a pistol carrying charge. Judge C C Rogers fined him $60 which he could not pay and he was jailed. This is Kimble’s second scrape in two weeks and further trouble is feared.

Death of Joseph H. Dollins in January at Platinum Avenue
Joseph H. Dollins died Saturday January 25 at his home on Platinum avenue after a lingering illness. He moved from Farnsdale Alabama about a year earlier seeking relief from tuberculosis, but the disease was advanced and Bright's disease troubled him for months. The funeral was Monday at 11 at Luke's church with a Masonic service contributing at the grave. He leaves a widow and three young children. Mr and Mrs Paul J Case welcomed a baby boy on January 10.

Veteran riders win in final of three horse races
