Elizabeth C. Gorman born 1846 Mississippi died January 21 1921 in Deming at 74 after six weeks illness. She and husband William T. Gorman moved to New Mexico 1884. Survived by sisters in law Mrs. Kennedy Mrs. Russell and nieces Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Walter Russell. Funeral held at Mrs. Kennedy’s home conducted by Rev. J H Walker with many relatives attending.

Severely Injured by Horse at Silton
John Callanan, employed at the C C Hollen buck Farm, was severely injured by an unbroken colt at Silton more than a week ago. He is at Deming Ladies’ Hospital recovering with both arms broken and deep lacerations to the head, hands, legs and feet after being trampled. The colt was found strangled by its halter rope.

A Florida well at 1565 feet faced buckled casing and lost tools but drilling resumed from 1350 feet, now at 1400 feet with Driller Bumpus optimistic about finishing without further trouble.

Dies on way to Tucson buried in Wisconsin
George Ahcavn died on a train en route to the Southern Pacific hospital in Tucson last Thursday. He was accompanied by his physician Dee D. Swepe and his mother and sister Mrs Dan Cronin. The remains were prepared for burial in Tucson and shipped back to Wisconsin. The mother sister wife and youngest baby left with the remains as the train departed Saturday morning for New London Wisconsin. Brotherhood men wired for a funeral wrestle to be delivered at the grave on arrival for final burial.
