The speaker rails against dancing and cards and warns about bad company and idle wives. He mocks educated critics, urges men to shun temptations, and promotes diligent Christian living. He condemns nagging wives and praises turning sons back to virtue over worldly pleasures.
Friday night service at the Baptist church drew a solid male audience. Mr. Adair preached an impressive sermon on Fishing For Men inspiring attendees to commit to serve and rescue others from sin. A post service prayer meeting showed deep interest.
Evangelist Adair believes his calling is from God to preach the gospel of Christ with unwavering faith. In the past five to six years more than 20 000 souls have professed faith, including 1 000 in the last two meetings. The sketch recalls Lockett Adair an orphan raised by grandparents taught discipline with switches. He began preaching at six but avoided education until conviction led him to ministry. After varied work as cattleman and lawman he finally answered the call and was approved after Presbytery questioning. He preaches tonight at the Baptist church and tomorrow at the Crystal.
A co operative revival meet concluded with a Sunday morning service. Evangelist Adair preached on Bringing Them to Christ and urged personal effort to save children. Three professed faith in Christ at the close as the co workers with Him.
Adair preached a moving sermon titled The Eternal Memory to a crowded Sunday evening service led by Rev. Lockett. The speaker argued memory preserves past deeds as a God given, eternal faculty and warned that memory can haunt souls through eternity, urging immediate righteous action. Real estate ad follows.

Mrs. Matt Akers received a pleasant call at the Jas Hougland home Saturday. Miss Cora Maisel visited Miss Maude Noyes Sunday. Mrs. J L Hougland and children visited her parents Wednesday. Earl Smith left for New Orleans to make his home. J L Hoagland and Anson Stall filled a rattlesnake Sunday. Anson kept the rattle as a keepsake. George Maisel Jr aided Mart Akers who plans a new farming tract. Anson Stall and Mrs. Anson Stall moved to the 8 J Smith home to work during Smith's absence. A dance at Maisel's last Thursday honored Mrs Anna Kennedy. Wm Albie nearly injured when his clothing caught in an engine.
Reports detail a serious accident in Columbus where Martin Shea lost parts of both hands on a cog wheel. The Waterbury family stayed with R. S. Hunt at Sunnyside last Sunday. U S troops EB K G H LT and N, about 400 men, passed through Columbus en route to Fort Huachuca from Fort Bliss, El Paso, for a stay of four days. They plan to proceed to the Philippines in May. Sick lists include B E Sisco and P G Moseley. The Columbus dance drew a large crowd last Saturday. The Bayview Club begins reading Africa, and Mrs W F King hosted a refined gathering. A C Ash, mounted inspector, returned from a Rio Grande trip. Jessie Mitchell and Mr Mitchell visited Sunnyside Sunday school. Mitchell led the organization. Mrs Dr Albio and Araula accompanied Mrs Albio’s father Thos Harrison home to Indiana. The Disney well drill operates at Mrs Heath’s desert claim to test for water leakage. Miss May Anderson spends time on her homestead south of town. F H Pennington builds a structure beside the Dalton building, west, rented by Gully Bros for a pool hall. Irvin H Eshelman of Illinois bought land south of town and plans to remain. he is Luther Stevenson’s brother-in-law.
Evangelist Adair preached on Hebrews 12 1 focusing on weights hindering faith. He urged laying aside dead weight and urged Bible reading as key to faith, criticizing reliance on others ism criticism and social behavior. Eleven professions were recorded at service end.
J R Smyer tested his big pulp last week reaching full capacity and did not force his well. W B Black was sick then, now recovered. Walter Wright plans a pumped irrigation system. Mitchell family of St. Louis visited to oversee his Carne claim. Dan Batie settled on his homestead feast. Willie Rountree suffered a bad scalding on Wednesday the 17th, hope the barn is not serious. Craig Bros will soon have pumping plant running. W J Rountree family to move soon. Bills and Jack Hollaran and Glenn Milter from Buffalo NY are prospecting in Carne visiting Frank Flynn.

Carson Hon of Roswell New Mexico visited relatives here last week. The Hondale mail carrier cleared twenty acres on his desert claim and ten acres previously, with Elsie Berg doing the work. A meeting at Iola Sunday drew a crowded house and a new church was organized with several new members. Elder Campbell conducted baptism for Mr Switzer as a large gathering enjoyed a porch feast at G A Gibson's. Weather was ideal for the gathering and more meetings are hoped for.
In Bay City Texas A Ehlert disputes being labeled capitalist by this paper arguing a claim of wealth is unclear. The letter notes Ehlert owns land near Deming and a tract six miles northeast of a tow n and mentions H H Hobbs of Rochester Texas filing on land and returning home.
