Daniel Evatin got 3 to 3 years for burglary and larceny at Craig’s Vutcanizing show in Deming. Sam G Buchanan sentenced 1 to 5 years for gobbing a residence near Deming. Mary Toy 1 to years for forging checks on F. T Wells in Deming. John Black 1 to 5 years for the same charge as Joy. Deputy U S Marshal Lee Wilkerson also took a prisoner for violating the prohibition law at Columbus. The party left for Santa Fe last Monday night.

C. F. Berry age 73 formerly of Deming died last Saturday at his Ontario California home and was buried there. He was father to W. E. Berry of O. K. Transfer Co. and E. E. Berry of Deming and B. N. Hudgins of Memphis Texas. He was brother to County Treasurer W. Z. Berry. The Headlight extends sympathies to the family.

Young Man Clarence Gregory Dies After Shooting Incident
William Murphy aged 19 died early Sunday of heart leakage after a sudden collapse while visiting Freewater Oregon. He had arrived here last June seeking health gains. the shooting incident involved Clarence Gregory and A Rominger family, with Gregory later discharged from a weapon during an attempted draw at the scabbard. The tragedy touched local families and the James A. Dick Co. sent Guyon, local manager, to Paso this week for firm business.
