Luna County Road Board Orders Fifty King Drags
The Luna County Road Board will place fifty King road drags at farmers in the county to drag adjoining roads after rains. Farmers must keep their road sections in good condition. The board considers purchasing a combination road roller and tractor and scraper and plans concrete culverts and an extensive county road improvement campaign.

New Auto Bus Service By J W Smith
J W Smith will launch an auto mobile service to and from the trains in the city within days. He ordered a twelve passenger bus and, while it is built, will use a seven passenger Overland touring car. The service will run day and night to all trains and residents within city limits may have car calls.

Escaping Prisoner Shot By Police
Officer J. C. Tabor attempted to arrest a Mexican prisoner wanted in Hurley for burglary. The man broke away and Tabor fired, striking the Mexican in the left side and exiting the shoulder. The injured man, unnamed, was taken to a hospital with hopes of recovery if infection does not set in.
