Tuesday evening Miss Corona Sharlock hosted a small Valentine party for friends. Guests were seated in a decoratively dressed dining room, enjoyed a dainty three course dinner, then spent the evening playing cards and dancing. They departed with praise for the hostess.
Deming Woman's Club met Friday with decorated rooms and a varied program. Papers by Mesdames Morgan Schurtz and Shermer impressed. Mrs Gloyd illness prevented one chorus. vocal and instrumental numbers by Moran Wheatley Pollard Mallody admired. Star Spangled Banner closed. Aline John reports former Deming resident Lester Harris Leater died at his son John H Leater’s home in Ta Mean Ari. Funeral services will be held from Mahoney Parier here Saturday February 38 at 3 38 p.m.
