Big Sale of Surplus Army Supplies

A local store conducted a surplus army stock sale starting last Thursday and disposed of about 4000 dollars worth of canned goods beans and shoes. New stock arrived Tuesday and Wednesday and was placed on counters with the sale continuing. The present invoice lists canned tomatoes cabbage cans and army blankets. The store opened yesterday at 10 in the morning.

Troops Withdrawn From New Mexico Mining District

Soldiers from the Eighth cavalry based at Gallop and the Twelfth cavalry with two squadrons of the Twenty-fourth infantry were withdrawn Tuesday from Colfax County New Mexico mining district. They were to return to their stations Fort Bliss and Columbus, and left in each regiment’s detachment for service.
