Big Thanksgiving Dinner at Gage Held for Neighbors

Mr and Mrs Fred Case hosted a large Thanksgiving meal at their Gage home Tuesday. Families from Buck Bounds to Deming arrived with baskets of food while Mr Johnson of Wisconsin delivered the day’s address. The evening included a stop at Tollhunters for dessert and a dance with many local and visiting participants.

Prominent Couple Wed In Coloradgy Area

Prominent couple Mrs. R. C. Morgan and Mrs. Snile A. Tilley wed Sunday at the bride’s daughter Mrs. H. C. Griffith home ten miles south of Loraine. Rev. J. C. Hull officiated. The item comes from an unnamed Texas paper. Mrs. Tilley formerly lived here and owns property. friends here wish her happiness.

Lost purse found and returned by Erasmo Candelaria

Erasmo Candelaria found a lost purse at the Prinde Theatre containing $1400 and papers belonging to A. G. Nichols of Los Angeles for the Angelus Git Company. Nichols offered a reward of 5.00 for the return and expressed appreciation.

The Hartsell family ranch was burned last Saturday evening. Mrs. Hartsell was away tending to chores when the fire broke out and she managed to rescue her three children before the blaze consumed the house. Only a single trunk with a few clothes survived.

A Saturday night blaze at a frame house owned by Edna Leffler at Platinum and Pine started in the kitchen and grew high before the fire department stopped it. The home was partly destroyed and the Longly family moved from the Harper property on West Pine to Harry Whitelid’s house on 8th Street.

Lindly Boy Shoots Hand While Hunting Near Santa Fe Bridge

An 11 year old, George Cindly, with companions, went hunting near the Santa Fe bridge when his shotgun misfired injuring his hand. He and another boy were taken to a local doctor with injuries described as badly torn and healing slowly.
