New Mexico Magazine to be launched by Fosters in Las Cruces

The San Marcial Standard folded and the Fosters plan to start the New Mexico Magazine in Las Cruces on September 1. On June 30 the Grant County Telephone plant was transferred to Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company. In Etancia county the boosters met at Mountainair and elected Harry J. Fincke president R. L. Hitt secretary and Dr. C. J. Amble treasurer to form a temporary organization.

Revolution in Nicaragua Draws 350 Marines to Managua

Panama sent 350 marines to reinforce the American force in Managua amid unrest. The collier Justin was ordered to carry them to Corinto. U S blue jackets and Marines landed from the gunboat Annapolis at Corinto and now in Managua demand Gen. Luis Mena surrender lake steamers run by an American railroad company. George T. Weitzell, U S minister, has sent a note to General Mena urging compliance.
