The Mimbres Growers and Warehouse Association held its second meeting at Lynd & Williams office to plan a 50 by 100 foot warehouse to store farm produce for Deming area growers. Stock subscriptions exceed $2000. a site and bids from contractors will be sought. A. L. Taylor notes warehouse receipts will enable 70 to 80 percent financing and bank loans, boosting local cash flow.

Happy Man Unveils Massive 161-Foot Well Near Iola
G A Gibson of Iola tests a deep water well on his land. The 161 foot bore yields 800 gallons per minute from 11 sandy strata. A 35 horsepower Bessemer engine and No 5 Layne Bowler pump drive the system. Gibson plans to farm 80 acres and expand holdings with his brother.

The Philathea class formed by the Baptist Sunday school met last Sunday with Mrs D J Olsen elected teacher and Miss Sallie Webb as president. All young ladies are invited to join. class meets Sundays at 9 45 a m. Wade Horron drilled a 76 foot well four and a half miles southeast of Deming delivering 1200 gallons per hour and powered by a 40 horse tower Bessemer engine with a Layne & Bowler pump set to cultivate 30 acres this year.
