Mimbres Growers and Warehouse Association Forming Deming Store

The Mimbres Growers and Warehouse Association held its second meeting at Lynd & Williams office to plan a 50 by 100 foot warehouse to store farm produce for Deming area growers. Stock subscriptions exceed $2000. a site and bids from contractors will be sought. A. L. Taylor notes warehouse receipts will enable 70 to 80 percent financing and bank loans, boosting local cash flow.

Roseborough Ramblings Update From Frontier Farm Area

Steve Birchfield Jr well drilling one mile south of Roseborough. Charles Butler and son Free man own 640 acres north of the track and build a house with a dug well. Hal Kerr visited from Cam bray to survey his farm. Dwyer building south of the track. Freight conductor notes heavy unloads here, second only to Deming on the El Paso Lordsburg division. Happy Man Unveils Massive 161-Foot Well Near Iola

G A Gibson of Iola tests a deep water well on his land. The 161 foot bore yields 800 gallons per minute from 11 sandy strata. A 35 horsepower Bessemer engine and No 5 Layne Bowler pump drive the system. Gibson plans to farm 80 acres and expand holdings with his brother.

Mart Akers visited Deming on business Tuesday. Eeeleson, son in law of J D Fowler of Columbus Ms is visiting. Hoagland and Dutcher dig a well for Mr Rogers. Kart Akers digs another well for irrigation. Rev J H Shepard delivered grand sermons all week. Basket dinner drew many from Iola Hondale and Florida Flats. Mountain View organized 2 Christian church with about eighteen members. Reporter.

Cambray resident L J Lawson visited Lewis Flats Monday to round up his cattle. C M Hass shipped in a load of casing wire posts and household goods. Mrs J J Wells has a house under construction this week. Visitors to P L Smyer included John Loftis his wife Lewis Smyer Dock Smyer Robert Russell and Charley Williams. Rev Hunt spoke at the schoolhouse last Sunday. G G Milliken is listed as sick this week. Frank Page completed a new well on his homestead.

Baraca Class Organized by Baptist Church Youth

The Baptist church formed a Baraca class for young men on Sunday April 21. The group meets each Sunday at 9 45 in the morning. An invitation is extended to attend and see their activities. Church service themes and invited public to worship

The Church of Christ invites all to morning and evening services next Lord's Day with two great themes discussed. Splendid audiences last week and three attendees by letter. Luna County Telephone Company reports two more carloads of material and a line construction contract will be let at Thursday directors meeting. Philathea Class Organized at Baptist Church

The Philathea class formed by the Baptist Sunday school met last Sunday with Mrs D J Olsen elected teacher and Miss Sallie Webb as president. All young ladies are invited to join. class meets Sundays at 9 45 a m. Wade Horron drilled a 76 foot well four and a half miles southeast of Deming delivering 1200 gallons per hour and powered by a 40 horse tower Bessemer engine with a Layne & Bowler pump set to cultivate 30 acres this year.

Bids Open For Christian Church Construction Work

Plans and specifications for the Christian church are in contractors hands with a vacant fee noted. Work on the building is expected to begin soon after. Elton Brock is developing the project.
