Railroad showdown in Deming amid competing lines
The Farmington Times reports two railroad matters affecting Deming New Mexico. A Los Angeles syndicate’s延 90 day extension to the San Juan Railway Committee to plan a parallel line to the proposed C C M road. The second item notes a homegrown effort backing a parallel route not seeking bonuses or land, with leaders George Estes Walter Clark and Albert Field pledging to begin construction immediately if permitted. The I C C is probing, but Farmington advocates the Estes team plan, hoping for quick charter approval to start work north and south from Deming.
