G W Weedman Dies in Well at Hondale Scott Place
A Hondale community mourns G Wilbur Weedman entombed after a cave‑in at Dr Wa Scott’s well site. Rescue efforts spanned the night with volunteers and neighbors aiding. Weedman, born near Bristol Indiana in 187? and aged 39, left a widow Leora and son John. Interment was at Mountainview cemetery.

Demonstrations on acre farm construction impressed attendees, and families will be invited to Mrs Geo Bumpus home for a future event. Explosion at Bottling Works in Columbus Wrecks Plant
A boiler explosion at the bottling works in Columbus wrecked the building injuring Capt. Arthur Bloch and A. G. Hicks who were inside. Hicks and others rushed to a hospital where Bloch’s condition remained critical amid severe burns and a broken leg.
