A New York pastor Rev I Kemble was arrested on charges of enticing Luther Payne’s wife from Athens. The wife disappeared with Kemble, returned, then fled again toward Albany. Payne pursued, confronted them at Hudson, and both were arrested. an inquiry followed with a potential settlement offer.
