Rites Held Sunday For Pioneer Woman
Mrs. Mary Frances Howell Chapman White capman widow of Anthony G. Chapman died 11:20 p.m. last Thursday at her son Harry Chapman’s Buck Creek area home after a fall and hip fracture. Born Sept 10 1851 near Buck Creek she lived in Colburn and Stockwell before settling on a farm. She married Sept 15 1875 and had ten children with five surviving including William Felix Brookston Harry Cheno weth Lewis Flora and five grandchildren five great grandchildren. Funeral at Colburn Lutheran Church led by Rev. B L Stroup with burial in Colburn Lutheran Cemetery.
