Coach Tony Berto unveiled the 1957 Delphi Oracles against the Sheridan Blackhawks at Riley Field. The rugged visitors won 28 to 19 as Delphi’s penalties and lack of experience limited scoring opportunities despite strong offense. Sheridan outrushed Delphi 270 to 224 and passed for 113 yards to Delphi’s 14, totaling 337 yards.
