Burrows Lunch Room Damaged By Fire
Fire caused by an overheated fryer destroyed the Burrows Lunch Room kitchen about 6 30 Friday evening. The roof suffered severe damage and repairs will keep the restaurant closed at least two weeks. Building owned by Mr and Mrs Michael Guckien with Betty Randolph operating the lunch room. The Randophs were in Indianapolis at the State Fair when the fire occurred.

Seaman Joe Oaks Ends Leave After Ranger Viet Nam Mission Tour

Walters Youth Recovering From Bicycle Accident
A 13 year old Tippecanoe Township youth, Bryan Walters, remained in satisfactory condition at St. Elizabeth Hospital Lafayette after a bicycle collision with a car on Indiana 18. John R. Hawk 34 Crown Point drove behind a truck when Walters swerved into the lane, breaking a left leg and suffering severe lacerations. State Trooper Dennis Davis and Sheriff James Coghill investigated.
