B B Jackson and daughters Eileen and Regina escaped serious injury Tuesday night when the car they rode in hit a culvert near Westfield. Eileen suffered a head cut and Mr Jackson was blinded by headlights. The car sustained serious damage.

Dr John Carney of Monticello, son of Dr and Mrs Calvin Carney of Delphi, is seriously ill at St Elizabeth hospital in Lafayette.

Johnny McConnell a Delphi youth was arrested Friday night by Deputy Sheriff Arthur Anderson on issuing a fraudulent check at Kentland. Kentland authorities transferred McConnell to the jail there.
