A Friday by storm brought high winds and heavy rain across the county causing extensive property damage. No injuries were reported though two people escaped danger. The cyclone like wind struck Tippecanoe's Hufty Beach farm near Delphi at 9:35 a.m., damaging a round barn and other outbuildings, then moved northeast hitting several farms and structures along state routes 18 and 39 before continuing toward Will Smock farm and utility poles.
