William C. Smith dean of the Carroll county Bar Association notes a second chance discovery of his Sigma Chipin after four years. He observes Kokomo high school's sixty fifth graduation anniversary on May 31 with fourteen classmates and a commencement in the Kokomo opera house. His oration on annexation of Mexico drew comment amid U. S. Mexico tensions. A 1925 letter praising the piece arrived 47 years late, and the manuscript, once lost, was recovered in a box of old papers during the celebration.
