Dressing Room Request For Carroll County 4H Fair

The Carroll County 4H Fair seeks funds for a new dressing room for the girls in Flora at the 4H Fairgrounds. Raymond Holloway Dies at Oregon Home

Raymond Holloway, 54, died Wednesday morning at his home in Tillamook, Oregon after a prolonged illness and a stroke weeks earlier. He is survived by his widow Evelyn, a daughter Carolyn, two sons James and Albert, two sisters Mrs. Glen Weckerly of Lafayette and Mrs. Mabel Kennard of Delphi, and two brothers Ross of Delphi and Verlin Pat of Monticello. Relatives traveled from Indiana to Oregon to visit.

Delphi School Board Debates Transfer Requests and Budget Needs

At the Delphi Community School Board meeting in their new quarters on North Union Street, letters from local residents requesting transfer of high school students to Carroll Consolidated were read and a special meeting was planned. The board approved travel for Home Ec teachers to a State Vocational Conference at IU mid August with expenses covered by the Vocational Department and authorized eight cent per mile reimbursements for principals attending approved meetings. Superintendent Weddell was asked to explore hiring an attendance officer and to report on costs to asphalt and stone a 60 by 90 foot strip at Hillcrest at the next session.

Local Theater Group Debuts at Red Barn Summer Theater

Bob Packard, son of Mr and Mrs Marvin Packard, acts in the Little Theater O the Lakes troupe. From July 22 to 24 the company performed Dirty Work at the Crossroads at Tippecanoe Country Club Red Barn to a sellout crowd with Packard in the Moo kie role.
