Delphi pool dedication marks new city landmark

Delphi celebrated the opening of its new park swimming pool with a musical program by Loyal Hoshaw's high school band. Despite a 40 degree drop, several hundred bathers enjoyed the spring-fed water as spectators lined the Washington street bridge and river banks. George Best will oversee pool operations while William Givler and Jesse Retherford supervised the project. A team of about 75 to 100 business volunteers cleared the grounds last Friday, leaving some sore muscles but a job well done.
