Deer Creek Bridge Dedication Tonight At 7:30
A 7:30 dedication on the Deer Creek bridge and viaduct on North street will honor progress since 1845. About 1000 to 1500 people are expected. the State Highway Commission built both structures at a cost of 40 000 for the bridge and 38 000 for the viaduct. Traffic will halt between Summit street and Front street during the ceremony.

Irvin T. Snyder Dies At Home Near Cutler
Irvin T. Snyder 62 a Democratic township farmer died suddenly of a heart attack Monday morning at his home south of Cutler. Born March 6 1884 he married Matilda McQuern November 6 1904 and four sons survive Ross Frankfort Dean Cutler Ralph Freeport Louisiana and Wayne at home He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

War Vet Suffered Loss Of Leg In Lafayette Accident
William D. Loy 41 Buck Creek World War veteran lost his left leg just below the knee in the Monon railroad yards at Lafayette. He was with his brother Leroy when struck by approaching cars and transported to St Elizabeths hospital in fair condition. Loy had traveled to Lafayette with James Grandstaff and Dory Fife from Delphi. Grandstaff and Fife were arrested later near Americus and fined $1 plus costs after pleading guilty to intoxication in Lafayette city court.
