Many Farmers To Parade Tractors In Delphi Friday

A John Deere Day parade attracts up to 100 farmers led by Bassett & Talbert, starting at their store on Main Street and heading east to Wilson and Franklin to the REMC. After the march, attendees gather in the REMC auditorium for a John Deere Day show with the feature film Galahad Jones and other features, plus a free lunch at noon. Wayne and Harold Talbert promise family entertainment and urge attendance.

Mothers March Nets $763 For Polio Campaign

Donations collected during the Mothers March on Polio in Flora Camden and Delphi total $763.00 with Flora $350 Delphi $276 and Camden $137.33. The Carroll County drive will end tonight and contributors are urged to send in gifts promptly for a final report. The campaign closes Saturday with a benefit dance sponsored by Carroll County Rural Youth and the Camden Senior Class at the Camden Community Club.

Plans for a Purdue Livestock and Meat Caravan visit to Delphi REMC auditorium on Thursday February 7 from 10 am to 3 pm feature 15 demonstration exhibits. Walter Barnhart Named Director of Soil District

Approximately 400 people attended the 2nd annual Fish Fry and meeting of Carroll County Soil Conservation District at Flora Community Building. Walter Barnhart of Clay Two was elected supervisor for a three year term alongside Miles Martin Taylor Fouts Enos Berkshire and Charles Thompson. Awards for school essay winners were presented. first and second place winners received watches and fountain pen sets respectively. A Nature Series Film on conservation was shown, and 325 pounds of fish were prepared by the Baker Brothers and served by district supervisors and their wives. Ralph Reagan screened a safety film after the meal.
