Diseases Transmissible From Animal to Man Lesson
Mrs. June H Lowther announces Purdue Veterinary Dr F A Hall will present the lesson on diseases transmittable from animal to man Thursday afternoon January 22 at the REMC auditorium The lesson will be conducted in local clubs in February by project leaders. The Methodist Youth Fellowship plans a bake sale January 24 at 9 30 in Herb Smith store proceeds fund choral music for Easter Dawn Cantata. They also sponsor a chili supper February 19 at Delphi Methodist church 5 00 to 6 30 Tickets available from members. Mr and Mrs Ralph H Smith have moved from Pittsburg to Frankfort.

January 1 enrollments from Car roll county 4 H were sent to Purdue. The Dairy 16 members, Beef 71 members, Sow and Litter 25, Sheep flock 5, Poultry flock 3. Dairy members enrolled 36 calves with 13 Guernsey 15 milking shorthorn 6 holstein 1 brown swiss 1 jersey. Dairy Jr Calf club enrollments open to May 1. Other 4 H enrollments due through club leaders this spring.

Mrs. Marie J Hanrahan presided at the Madison township Home Economics club kickoff held January 14 at Mrs Harold Shanks home. Assisting were Mesdames Glen Fisher Lawrence Gingrich and Gerald Murphy. The president announced the 1953 outlook and members were reminded of Valentine’s Night on February 14.
