Forest W Howell leads an official board meeting at 7 30 p m at the church. Sunday worship at 10 a m features a sermon Gateway to the Kingdom by the Rev Forest Howell. Lena Hannell presides at organ. nursery and kindergarten offered. Junior and Senior MYF meet. WSCS and choir schedules included.
James Wm Rankin serves as pastor at First Presbyterian with Sunday worship at 10 a m. Nursery and church school run 10 to 11:30 a m with classes for kindergarten to juniors at 10:30 to 11:30 a m and older groups 10:50 to 11:30 a m The annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Sunday night at 6 p m.
An arts and crafts program for Juniors and Junior High runs Wednesday at 3 15 p m. followed by Adult Choir rehearsal at 7 30 p m. The notice outlines scheduled activities for the evening.

Raymond Smoker and son Ronald lease the Standard service station from Standard Oil previously held by Fred Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. William Seward entertain the Builders class of the Christian church Tuesday evening. Mrs. Beulah Rodkey hosts the Brethren Missionary society Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pullen host the Willing Workers class January 18 with Harold Ryan presiding. Mrs. Alva Tinkle is confined at home. Mr. and Mrs. Zed Hendrix purchase the restaurant and a filling station at State roads 18 and 29. The Eastern Star will meet Thursday evening.
At the first January meeting Tipwa Grange featured Virginia Peterson and Virginia Fisher in the program. Committee rosters for January 17 include Kenneth Pyle Russell Craig Hal Man or and Carl McFarland. Supper will be served by Group II of the Home Economics committee with Dr and Mrs E S Emerson Russell Jones David Morehouse Bob Fitzgerald and George Todd serving refreshments.
