Delphi prepares for a statewide cultural event as northern Indiana divisions bring bands orchestras and chorus to venues across town. Auto Burns in Route 218 Crash Near Deer Creek
Kenneth R. Roller of Logansport saw flames under the dashboard of his 1947 Oldsmobile as he drove toward Camden on Route 218 near the Deer Creek Conservation Club. He pulled over but the car burned to a total loss before help could arrive. Damage was placed at $1200. Sheriff Carey Deputy Ferrier and Patrolman Humburg investigated.

Funeral Rites for Jennie Jordan 91 Held at Flora
Jennie Jordan 91 died last week and funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon at Flora with burial in Maple Lawn cemetery. Lester Funeral Home arranged the services. She was born April 19 1860 near Flora, daughter of John and Catherine Ferguson, widow of Henry Jordan who died in 1929. Surviving are two brothers and a sister.
