Army honors local man with discharge at Camp Hood
Dale Allen 41 son of Mrs. Nettie Allen of Delphi received an honorable discharge from the U S Army at Camp Hood Texas. He is the first from his community to be released under the new age limit law. After a two week visit with relatives he will move to Ft Lauderdale Florida to take a job in the ship yards.

William Hasselbring 70 of five miles north of Monticello died at 6 30 p m Saturday after a year long illness He was born in Germany in 1872 and came to America as a child He was a member of the Lutheran church of Reynolds Surviving are his wife Lena two daughters Hilda McClain and Betha Judy both of Camden a son Fred C Hasselbring Indianapolis four brothers Herman of Chalmers Paul of Reynolds Henry and Edward both of Custer Michigan Brief services were held at the residence and regular services at the Lutheran church in Reynolds at 2 15 Burial followed in the Lutheran cemetery
