The Carroll County Extension Committee will meet at the County Extension Office Thursday after noon February 18 at 12 45 for their annual meeting. John Peterson Extension chairman will preside with Elaine Kull Monte Alderfer and Harold Berry showing slides on the 1959 extension program and the 1960 plan of work. State Supervisors P B Crooks and Anna Williams will lead discussion reviewing BF BL program for Carroll County and the state. The interview committee including Peterson Johnson Wilson Blue and Robeson will report on potential replacement for County Agent Harold Berry.

Carroll County adult 4-H leaders gathered at the Fowler Hotel in Lafayette on February 9 for the twenty first annual district adult leaders training conference. Purdue instructors Edna Troth Eric Holm Bob Amick and F L Mc Reynolds led sessions for new leaders experienced readers and extension agents. Rev Donald Wheat spoke at luncheon with Rotary Club members and Rotary Governor John S Jackson.

Burlington Porch Crash Injures Shopper
Mrs Alma Mae Spear of Bringhurst escaped injury when her car rolled in gear and crashed into the porch of Chew Grocery in Burlington Thursday morning. Sheriff Roth estimated $20 damage to the vehicle and $100 to the building.

By agreement with Carroll Consolidated School Corporation a daily Flora to Delphi bus transports retarded children to school with pickups for return by parents. Flora Community Council funds the driver while the school covers other costs. Also noted is the birth of Michelle Ann to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gerhart of Battle Ground, mother being Shirley Brummett.
