Court hears jail threat in child support dispute

In a circuit court session Judge Smith commented on a defendant husband who admitted saying he would rot in jail if support was not paid. The judge warned him of the jail’s rot facilities and noted the man remains confined. A separate case saw a young man sentenced to a term at the reformatory with a warning about hard beds and future consequences. Police investigated a Sunday break in where a small cash loss occurred but a larger amount of currency was hidden. A theft at Smith's Barber Shop led to clues about stolen tools from Medley's garage. City Council delaying action on Fred Clark’s dismissal pending a formal hearing, with charges to be set in a hearing before possible circuit court involvement. Elaine Kull received an unsolicited mash note from an Ohio admirer with ties to Manitoba. A Buick Magazine flyer features Jack Brown, now a Buick dealer in Chicago Heights. Pussy willow branches bloom at John Farr Walker home. Anne Parks reports two flocks of geese seen flying north near Springboro bridge.
