Delphi Council OKs Pumping Station and Valve Plan
The Delphi City Council won approval from the Public Service Commission and State Board of Accounts to install valves and a pumping station to raise South Delphi water pressure. Top Twenty Rates First In District Competition
Forty Delphi Community Schools students competed in the District Solo and Ensemble contest at Kokomo's Bon Air School. First division honors went to the Top Twenty, Madrigal Singers, and several piano entries including Mike Wingard Dale Pettiner Amanda Mears and Pamela Pettiner with a piano duet by Amanda Mears and Mike Wingard. The Top Twenty and Dale Pettiner qualify for the state contest at Butler University in February. Second division medals were awarded to the Silvernotes Amanda Mears Martin Mears and the Mears siblings in vocal trio. Next, 60 band members travel to Kokomo for instrumental and ensemble events on February 5 with a Sunday concert on February 20 and a Music Boosters meeting February 7.

Cub Scout Scott Sullivan son of Mr and Mrs Robert Sullivan Route 4 Delphi won the Scouts Annual Pinewood Derby after three heats eliminating 24 cars.
