Christmas Seasons Saddened by Death of Lorenz Grimm
Funeral services were held for Lorenz Grimm a 53 year old Delphi businessman who died from injuries after a car crash near Lebanon. He was born September 9 1882 in India and moved to Delphi in 1907 to work with his father Grimm funeral directors. He married Maude Rittenhouse in 1906 and was active in the Elks Odd Fellows and Scottish Rite. Surviving are his widow a son Earl a father Adan Grimm a sister and two brothers. Pallbearers and flower girls were named.

Mrs. Arthur Cole, 34, of Delphi, died at 4 o clock this morning at St. Elizabeth hospital in Lafayette from pneumonia after recent leg amputation. Survived by husband Fred Rardon, a brother, and a sister Mrs. Joseph Blake. Her brother Callie Rardon was killed three weeks earlier in a truck accident. Funeral arrangements not yet made.

Delphi enjoyed a white Christmas with heavy mail, stronger Christmas shopping, and abundant gifts. Thirty two Christmas baskets filled with food and toys were delivered to needy families by the Benevolent Society with help from Tri Kappa, the Legion, and school children. Churches held dramatic programs and gifts were distributed to children Sunday morning. Snow and sleigh rides added festive mood as all but a few children awoke to stockings and presents.

Death Claims Third McCain Family Member
Arthur McCain and his family of Alamo Texas faced a deadly year with three deaths. In July the elder McCain died after a train incident near home, last month his son Richard was found dead, and now Mrs. Arthur McCain 80 died at her Alamo residence. Funeral services were held Monday as the family, who moved from Carroll county twenty years ago, mourns. Surviving are daughter Mrs. Carrigan and son Dr Earl McCain of Omaha Nebraska.

John Shultheis 75 Dies After Illness in Delphi Area
John Shultheis 75 prominent local farmer died Friday night after a two week illness at his home south of Delphi. He served as Clay township trustee 1900–1904 and on the county council 1910s and 1930s. Survived by widow Carrie Vance and four sons Marvin Albert John and another in Bloomington, plus a sister. Funeral Monday at Pyrmont U B Church with burial in Pyrmont Cemetery.
