Damages Sought In Tippecanoe Co Suit Over 1961 Explosion

An all male jury heard evidence in a $50 000 damage suit filed in Tippecanoe Circuit Court by Herman Neff Bringhurst route 1 seeking damages from Carroll County REMC and United Telephone Co of India na over the death of his daughter Louann in a home explosion on February 25 1961 The case was moved from Carroll County in 1963.

County approves bids and salary changes in Carroll County

Carroll County Commissioners opened six bids for a new pay loader and awarded it to Indiana Equipment Company for 15200 dollars. County Council approved salary changes and fund transfers except a 100 dollar cut for the treasurer’s office. travel expenses for the county superintendent and attendance officer were disallowed.
